Know Your Realms

I The green tide

Orruks, grots and ogors — where they gather, a roaring tide of destruction rises.

II Powered by the Waaagh!

The mystical energy of orruk war lends the green tide strength, speed and unshakeable confidence.

III Simple and savage

Big models, big hits and big fun — Destruction is the most beginner-friendly way to play.

The Lore

Destruction is the wild, untameable force of the Mortal Realms — orruks, grots, ogors and gargants who make war not for conquest or creed but for the sheer, roaring joy of the fight. Where they gather, a green tide rises, driven on by the mystical energy of the Waaagh!

There is a strange honesty to Destruction: it builds nothing and schemes little, and simply follows the biggest and loudest toward the next great battle.

On the Tabletop

Destruction is the most straightforward way to war — big models, big hits and big fun, from the unpredictable grot hordes of the Gloomspite to the hard-charging brutes of the Orruk Warclans.

Age of Sigmar Destruction – The Grand Alliance of Smashing Things Destruction is the loudest of Age of Sigmar's four Grand Alliances — four armies with almost nothing in common except a shared enthusiasm for breaking things. This collection covers Gloomspite Gitz, Ogor Mawtribes, Orruk Warclans and Sons of Behemat. Each faction plays a completely different game. Gloomspite Gitz field huge numbers of cheap, unreliable grots backed by moon-mad magic and squig cavalry — chaotic and a little unpredictable by design. Orruk Warclans are bigger, tougher and more straightforward: pick a target, charge it, repeat. Ogor Mawtribes field fewer, much larger models that hit hard and shrug off damage that would drop a human-sized unit outright. Sons of Behemat go furthest in that direction, fielding only a handful of towering gargants per army — some of the biggest models in the game. 2026 has been a genuinely active year for this alliance. Ogor Mawtribes received a brand new battletome for 4th Edition in August, landing alongside new kits including the character Morga the Mighty and fresh Glutton, Irongut and Cleaver units — one of the largest single-faction waves Age of Sigmar has seen this year. Sons of Behemat followed with new previews as recently as September 2026, with pre-orders close behind, so anyone who last looked at this faction a while ago will find it's had genuine attention rather than being left to gather dust. If you're picking a first Destruction army, think about model count as much as playstyle. Orruk Warclans and Gloomspite Gitz give you a proper army's worth of miniatures to build and paint. Sons of Behemat sit at the other extreme — a tiny model count, but each one is a centrepiece painting project in its own right. Ogor Mawtribes land in between: fewer, bigger models than a Warclans army, but still a full battleline rather than one or two giants. Browse each faction individually using the links above, or order online for fast UK delivery from Loaded Dice in Barry, South Wales.
Frequently Asked Questions

We stock four Destruction armies: Gloomspite Gitz, Ogor Mawtribes, Orruk Warclans and Sons of Behemat. They share no single culture, only a taste for smashing things — orruks fight for the joy of it, ogors fight because they're hungry, and gargants just enjoy standing on people.

Ogor Mawtribes got a brand new battletome for 4th Edition in August 2026, alongside new kits including Morga the Mighty and fresh Glutton, Irongut and Cleaver units — one of the biggest single-faction waves Age of Sigmar has had this year.

Yes — Sons of Behemat had new previews as recently as September 2026, with pre-orders following shortly after, so this is one of the more active Destruction factions right now rather than one sat waiting for attention.

Orruk Warclans are the simplest starting point — a straightforward, aggressive melee army with a wide model range. Sons of Behemat are the opposite extreme: only a handful of enormous models per army, which keeps list-building quick even if painting one giant takes a while.

Both are green-skinned and both like a fight, but Gloomspite Gitz lean into moon-mad grots, squig cavalry and sneaky magic, while Orruk Warclans are bigger, tougher and more straightforwardly brutal — less trickery, more charging in shouting "WAAAGH!"
